The GAIMIN Business

Overview

The GAIMIN business comprises four interlinked pillars:

  • GAIMIN's Web3 Gaming Platform and Game Launcher

  • GAIMIN's "GAIMCRAFT" Web3 Developer Tools

  • GAIMIN's Data Processing Cloud - gaimin.cloud

  • GAIMIN's "Gaimin Gladiators" Professional Esports Organisation

GAIMIN generates revenue from the monetization services delivered through gaimin.cloud.

The more users participating in gaimin.cloud the greater the processing power delivered by GAIMIN.

The key user community is gamers, who have the higher performance devices required to deliver higher performance data processing services, so GAIMIN targets this community directly through the followers of the Gaimin Gladiators esports team.

In addition, GAIMIN is making its technology available to games developers through "GAIMCRAFT" to enable them to integrate Web3 components into their games. Launching through GAIMIN provides a ready made, incentivized and motivated user community.

GAIMIN's Web3 Gaming Platform and Game Launcher

The "evolutionary" GAIMIN application is a downloadable, fully functional, and full-featured Web3 gaming platform and game launcher that solves three main problems for 1.5 billion Windows PC gamers, which are…

  • A “launch pad” to find new and exciting Web3-enabled games. GAIMIN’s positioning as the “Steam-of-Web3” means users get to be the first to play on the new generation of Web3 games.

  • How to achieve full ownership of their in-game assets (a $70 billion/year industry) and be able to use the same asset in multiple games. Users can purchase game assets on GAIMIN’s marketplace, with full blockchain ownership of their digital in-game assets, stored as NFTs, with real utility, interoperability, and cross-game capability.

  • How to pay for their gaming by passively monetizing their unused computational resources via gaimin.cloud services. If the user enables this optional feature in the platform, the user is rewarded with GMRX crypto tokens which can then be used for gaming purchases. (The GMRX token is the GAIMIN platform's internal “currency” and has deflationary characteristics to maintain and grow the gamer’s purchasing power).

GAIMCRAFT Developer Tools

GAIMIN’s developer technology acts as a base layer for adding Web3 game functionality to existing games and solves 3 main problems for game developers:

  • A Web3 Game Launcher. GAIMIN's platform and userbase also offer game developers an integrated game launcher, and an enthusiastic gamer audience to launch their games to.

  • Access to GAIMIN's Sandbox to test games in development with GAIMIN’s users and professional esports players, and get valuable feedback, suggestions, and ideas to improve the game.

  • GAIMIN's proprietary GAIMCRAFT developer tools (SDK/APIs) allow a game developer to quickly and easily add Web3 functionality, features, and benefits to any existing game. The SDK currently suports the EPIC/Unreal Games development engine, more will be added later.

GAIMIN's Data Processing Cloud - gaimin.cloud

gaimin.cloud is a decentralized cloud computing platform that utilizes the aggregated computational resources (mainly GPUs) of the GAIMIN platform users to provide data processing capacity to power AI, rendering, and blockchain computations. By passively monetizing their idle computing resources, gamers can earn rewards while contributing to the creation of a sustainable and socially responsible digital future. gaimin.cloud offers access to instantly accessible, instantly scalable, robust, cost-effective data processing capabilities to individuals, businesses, and organizations, helping to promote innovation, economic growth, and social progress in communities around the world.

Gaimin Gladiators

The Gaimin Gladiators esports organization is a key component of the GAIMIN project, providing GAIMIN with brand exposure, trust, and credibility in the esports and gaming world; and also giving GAIMIN direct user acquisition possibilities, as well as a large social media following of the ideal demographic - the most "committed" gamers. As a fast-growing, dynamic esports organization with professional teams competing in high-level tournaments (our teams include the world's top-ranked DOTA 2 team and European champions at PUBGM), Gaimin Gladiators are helping to establish GAIMIN as a leading name in the world of esports and gaming.

GAIMIN Revenue Generation

GAIMIN generates revenue from a number of different sources including:

  • Monetization through gaimin.cloud

  • GAIMIN Marketplace

  • GAIMIN Games Launcher

  • Gaimin Gladiators.

Monetization through gaimin.cloud

GAIMIN monetizes the computational resources found in gaming PCs passively, identifying devices participating in the GAIMIN network and sending them data processing jobs to perform. GAIMIN receives payment for processing services and returns up to 90% of the revenue received back to users participating in the GAIMIN data processing network.

Currently, GAIMIN is focused on two sources of data processing revenue - video rendering and the powering of blockchain computations. However, AI data processing will be the next functionality to be incorporated into the GAIMIN Platform along with other data processing services. This option is currently in the advanced research stage.

Video rendering is proving to be highly profitable in tests, and we are exploring partnerships and different ways of offering the service (such as a la carte services and larger clients) to meet the growing demand and take advantage of our relationships.

When there are no video rendering jobs, GAIMIN automatically switches monetization to the powering of blockchain computations. When a video rendering job is then received, GAIMIN automatically switches the network back to perform the rendering job.

GAIMIN retains 10% of any revenue generated and returns up to 90% to the users participating in the distributed data processing network. Rendering is now live on our GAIMIN platform and users have been receiving monetization rewards for rendering since December 2022.

Rendering Revenue Model

The standard industry approach (typically a rendering farm) is to use the OctaneBench score for GPUs to determine the pricing of a rendering service. https://render.otoy.com/octanebench/

The OctaneBench score for a GPU is an industry-recognized metric to determine the performance of a GPU. The score is baselined relative to a specific GPU model (GTX980) and provides a performance metric for individual GPU devices which can then be used to determine the cost of rendering. Typically rendering costs are calculated based on the following algorithm:

Price = Time using the device x OctaneBench score for device x Price per OctaneBench-Hour

Where a rendering company sets its “OctaneBench-Hour” price and estimates the time to process the file. The OctaneBench score is obtained from public sources.

The OctaneBench score for a device, however, is based on performance calculations that are derived from dedicated usage and continuous availability. The fluid and dynamic nature of the users' devices available at any single moment to the gaimin.cloud means that GAIMIN does not use the OctaneBench score to determine the price. Instead, GAIMIN provides the user with an estimate of the rendering cost through an initial analysis of 1% of the raw data file, and the cost to process this through AWS is then calculated and provided to the user as the estimate for rendering their data file.

This model provides the ability for GAIMIN to add a “delta” percentage if required to increase or decrease the cost of the estimate for the customer. If the user accepts the cost estimate, GAIMIN will render the file for the user and deduct the cost from their available balance.

The cost of the rendering job paid by the customer is then shared between the active users participating in gaimin.cloud according to the GAIMIN proprietary monetization distribution algorithm.

The volume of users and the associated available processing power from the GAIMIN platform users' GPUs (the "Network"), means that gaimin.cloud can always have the capacity to perform demanding data processing tasks, such as rendering jobs, and the availability of any specific individual user in the network doesn't affect the overall stability, dependability, and reliability of gaimin.cloud's data processing capabilities. In fact, the globally distributed GAIMIN network of users offers "strength in numbers" and hugely stable overall data processing capacity.

Over time, GAIMIN will “fine-tune” its revenue and charging models based on data improvements and data analysis. Anticipated charging models include:

  1. Per frame cost - the raw data file is broken down into frames and GAIMIN charges a fixed fee per frame. The complexity and processing time of the frames can vary, so this approach will be based on an assessment of previously rendered files and a complexity calculation for the frames within the new file.

  2. Per file - a single per file cost, probably based on the size of the file; this may not be a suitable approach as files can vary in complexity and processing requirements. However, it may be a service provided to individual customers where their typical files are assessed and the customer requires a more structured and simplistic approach to rendering.

  3. Per Mb or per Gb of data - similar to the current approach where the size of the file is used to calculate the cost of rendering

  4. Subscription services - customers pay a monthly subscription service with the allocation of a certain number of frames, processing hours, or file size per month. Different subscription levels could offer different amounts of processing ability.

  5. Membership fee - GAIMIN could provide member-type services such as an archive facility for the safe storage of raw data files and rendered output. Different levels could provide different amounts of storage or different lengths of storage time.

  6. Use of GMRX - GAIMIN could introduce payment in GMRX for rendering services or offer loyalty bonuses in GMRX when customers use the service, such as receiving 10% of the rendering fee back in GMRX.

  7. Priority processing and Service Level Agreement (SLA) - as GAIMIN builds its understanding of devices participating in gaimin.cloud, GAIMIN could identify devices to form dedicated sub-processing networks and offer prioritized service or even an SLA-driven service, charging differently dependent on the service required by the customer.

Powering AI

GAIMIN is actively looking to offer gaimin.cloud data processing power to AI services. After the initial R&D, GAIMIN confidently anticipates being able to finish the technical requirements in the coming months.

As a result, we are currently exploring opportunities to provide AI services with data processing power through gaimin.cloud.

AI is expected to be one of the major industries in need of scalable processing power in the coming years. One of our key advisors Emad Mostaque (Founder of https://stability.ai/) is actively involved and already has significant positioning in the AI Industry.

Other Sources of Revenue for GAIMIN

  1. GAIMIN Marketplace. GAIMIN has incorporated Marketplace functionality into its application. Marketplace allows GAIMIN to sell a variety of products and services; both digital and physical. GAIMIN users will have purchasing power because of the rewards earned for their contribution to gaimin.cloud and other monetization mechanisms. Marketplace currently supports the sale of low-cost in-game Digital Game Assets, similar to those found in Fortnite, including GAIMIN’s own cross-game, interoperable DGAxg. Marketplace supports the direct sale of products and services however GAIMIN will also generate revenue from the secondary sales market of its own DGAs. In-game assets stored as NFTs offer a very significant potential revenue stream. Research indicates that global in-game digital asset sales from 2021 was approx $70 billion. The percentage profit on these items is very high.

  2. The GAIMIN Game Launcher. GAIMIN is well positioned to become the "Steam of Web3", with the additional benefit of being able to offer passive purchasing power to users (via gaimin.cloud computational resource contribution) and with the ability to bring Web2 gaming numbers to new Web3 games. Right now we are building towards the MVP version of our Game Launcher. Future plans include offering full services to Web3 game creators and studios, similar to Steam: https://partner.steamgames.com/. Other appropriate revenue options for our Game Launcher are currently still being considered.

  3. Gaimin Gladiators. Through the success of its managed esports teams, GAIMIN generates revenue from the sponsorship of the esports teams. The greater the success of the teams, the more visibility the team achieves and the more brand awareness generated for sponsors and GAIMIN. GAIMIN has engaged Shikenso to monitor brand impressions from streaming media; such data is made available to brand sponsors to validate brand reach. Visibility through association with GAIMIN is also a secondary aspect of GAIMIN’s partnership approach with other companies. GAIMIN is specifically aiming to create high value for its sponsors by giving media and content in the fast-growing gaming space, something that isn’t currently being exploited and gives GAIMIN a unique positioning. Two team members who are already considered “star” influencers in their chosen games (Hardecki: Apex Legends, and Dyrachyo: DOTA 2) and both are excited to do streaming for this purpose. In the first year, 2022, Gaimin Gladiators raised over $1.3 million USD in sponsorship revenue, and $580K USD in tournament winnings, which covered the first-year costs of Gaimin Gladiators. GAIMIN’s choice of esports organization is very strategic because it offers GAIMIN completely unique positioning in this space, creates a strong community for GAIMIN’s brand, offers huge brand recognition (visible alongside global brands), huge credibility, and direct user acquisition.
